A general meeting of the society will be held in the Gustave Tuck Lecture Theatre in UCL’s Main Building on Friday, 6 March at 5.30 p.m.
Professor Alexandra Sanmark (University of the Highlands and Islands) will speak on ‘Power Centres and Communication Routes in the Viking Age: A Case Study from Central Sweden’.
The next meeting of the Viking Society will be held on Friday, 21 November at UCL, followed by the Annual Dinner.
The guest of honour, Professor Judith Jesch of the University of Nottingham, will speak on ‘Orkney Vikings in Saga, Poetry and Runes’.
