The annual general meeting will be held at the University of Cardiff on 24 June.
The keynote speaker will be Gareth Evans, who will present on the topic ‘Towards a Poetics of Emotion in Saga Narrative’.
The Council will convene at 2pm.
Spring Meeting: 03 March 2023
A general meeting of the society will be held in
the Institute of Archaeology, UCL, Gordon Square 31-34, Lecture Theatre G6
on Friday, 3 March 2023 at 4.p.m.
Dr Cat Jarman will speak on ‘The Viking Age From a Bioarchaeological Perspective: What Have We Learnt?’
The Council will meet at 2.00 p.m.
Refreshments (tea and coffee) will be served from 3.15 in the Institute of Archaeology Common Room on the 6th floor.
Autumn Meeting and Dinner 2022
The next meeting and annual dinner of the Viking Society will be held on Friday, 25 November.
The guest of honour is Professor Anders Winroth (University of Oslo).
