The next meeting of the Viking Society will be held on Friday, 21 November at UCL, followed by the Annual Dinner.
The guest of honour, Professor Judith Jesch of the University of Nottingham, will speak on ‘Orkney Vikings in Saga, Poetry and Runes’.

The meeting will be held in Lecture Theatre G22, North-West Wing, Main Building at University College London at 5pm.
Louisa Taylor (Aberystwyth University) will speak on: ‘How Violent was the “Age of the Sturlungar” in Iceland?’
The meeting will be held in the Institute of Advanced Studies, University College London (Main Building, South Wing, G11) at 5pm.
Professor Professor Lesley Abrams (University of Oxford) will speak on
‘Lost in Conversion? Becoming Christian in the Viking Age’
The meeting will be followed by a reception. Members may bring guests.
The Society’s Annual Dinner will follow (booking instructions have been sent to members).
